A few of those weren't indigo but close enough. I'm really digging this idea. The photo above and the few below are of the reverse-dyed batik sofas from Anthro. I wish I could buy out the purple/dark hued sofas on the site and make a conversation pit with them. But that's totally not happening on my stupid grad school budget unless I sell a kidney.  Darn.

Good Stuff: Paula Hayes

Had to share these unbelievable terrariums by Paula Hayes. I found a few for sale online but they were in the 5000 dollar range, so I won't be owning one of these unless I sell a kidney/win the lotto. Still amazing stuff. You can find these and more of Paula's work on her website here.

Good Stuff: Mafrash

Mafrash or bedding bags are woven textile bags that were used by the Shahsevan and other nomads in Persia to load bedding onto a camel's back for transport. The bags were generally made in pairs, one on either side of the camel, but now often come split up and sold as individual textiles since tribes no longer have a use for them.

As you can see above, the bags are quite large. Typically collectors will stuff them with foam and use them as seats. While that works I would love to see them turned into duffel bags. Below are a few of my favorite bags that still have their original leather straps for tying the bag together:

Good Stuff: Old Penguins

I've been collecting old Penguins for a while now but my collection look pretty pitiful compared to these:

I really love the old paperbacks and would take a box full of these over the newer hardcover collection any day. I was trying to read them along with A Penguin a week which I have been following for quite a while now. If you haven't heard of her blog before go check it out, here. Her collection is mind blowing.
